Premier Kiviet to handover multi million rand housing project - 2009-07-16 12:45:00
PREMIER KIVIET TO HANDOVER MULTI MILLION RAND HOUSING PROJECT
Eastern Cape Premier Ms Noxolo Kiviet and MEC for Housing Ms Nombulelo Mabandla will on Friday, July 17 hand over 503 houses to the people of Steytlerville in the Cacadu District. The event will be held at the newly upgraded Steytlerville Sports Ground and it will start at 10h00.
A 13 seater Combi will transport members of the media to Steytlerville and back to PE. Members of the media are urged to be at the City Hall before 08h00 on Friday, July 17 (2009). The houses to be handed out were constructed in 2006 at a cost of R15m.
Premier Kiviet and her Executive Council are in the Cacadu District to listen to the people about matters regarding service delivery. Cacadu is the 6th district to be visited by Premier Kiviet and her Executive Council as part of the Province-wide Outreach Campaign. During the outreach campaign Premier Kiviet and the MECs interact with communities, launch projects and meet stakeholders including organized labour, NGOs, CBOs, organized farmers and traditional leaders.
Members of the media are invited to attend this event.
